When deciding how to take CBD there are many different types of products, including topical product for skincare, CBD vape oils and various types of CBD oil, but have you ever considered adding CBD to you guacamole or smoothie?
If you're still reading you're probably interested in experimenting with food infused with CBD. It's the new trend among foodies but can CBD infused food really satiate your hunger while also having all the benefits now associated with CBD?
We complied 14 of the most delicious food and drink recipes to try. In this short guide we will explain step-by-step how to reach CBD-infused-food nirvana.
CBD infused vegan rice krispy treats
•1/2 cup coconut butter or sub nut or seed butter of choice
•1/2 cup brown rice syrup
•1 Tbsp maple syrup
•3.75 cups crispy rice cereal my favourite is the 365 brand brown rice crisps cereal
•1/3 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
•2 tsp CBD oil
For the coconut glaze:
•3 Tbsp coconut butter
•1 Tbsp maple or agave syrup
•1 to 2 Tbsp non-dairy milk for thinning
1.Line an 8x8 baking pan with parchment paper. Allow paper to overhang edges for easy removal.
2.In a large pot warm the coconut butter, brown rice syrup, and maple over medium-low heat. Whisk until smooth and warm, about 1 to 2 minutes. Remove from heat and whisk in the CBD oil, if using.
3.Stir the cereal and coconut flakes into the syrup mixture using a large, sturdy spoon. Continue mixing until all the cereal is incorporated.
4.Pour the mixture into the lined pan. Use the back of a spatula and a piece of parchment paper (to prevent sticking) to press it down evenly into the pan. Refrigerate for about 15 minutes.
5.In a small bowl combine the coconut butter and maple syrup. Warm in the microwave for just 10 to 15 seconds and stir. Add 1 tablespoon of milk and stir to combine. 6.Microwave for a few more seconds as needed so that the coconut butter becomes smooth. If the consistency seems too thick, add 1/2 to 1 tablespoon of milk. If it seems too thin, add a bit more coconut butter.
7.Cut the rice krispie treats into 16 squares. Drizzle with the coconut butter glaze, and refrigerate for about 10 minutes to set.
8.Store rice krispie treats in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
CBD infused chocolate covered frozen bananas 🍌
Sometimes you just want a nice, sweet milk chocolate, and we get that. But if you go for dark chocolate—70% or higher—you’ll get additional health benefits like antioxidants and flavonols that can do everything, from helping your skin glow to lowering your blood pressure.
•6 oz chocolate of your choice
•20 mL CBD tincture
•Optional toppings (nuts, granola, sprinkles, jam)
1.Peel bananas and freeze for at least 2 hours.
3.Melt chocolate in a double broiler or in the microwave, until smooth with no lumps.
3.Stir cannabis tincture into the melted chocolate.
4 Dip bananas in chocolate mixture half way and hold over bowl to catch drips.
5.Sprinkle with toppings, if using.
6.Place chocolate-covered bananas on a parchment paper lined tray or plate in fridge, until chocolate hardens. These will keep in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
Simple CBD infused pizza recipe 🍕
•1 (.25 oz packet) active dry yeast
•1 teaspoon sugar or sweetener replacement
•1 cup warm water- warm is important! It helps the yeast rise!
•2 1/2 cups flour, all purpose flour works just fine 1
•1 teaspoon salt
•2 tablespoons of CBD Oil
•2 tomatoes, mashed
•1 teaspoon garlic, finely minced
•1 package shredded mozzarella cheese
•1 package shredded monterey jack cheese
•1/4 cup chopped basil
1.Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
2.In a medium sized mixing bowl, empty contents of dry yeast packet and sugar into warm water.
3.Stir lightly, let stand until cloudy (5-10 min)
4.Gradually stir in flour, salt and CBD olive oil. Continue stirring until it is smooth.
5.Pour crust dough onto lightly floured surface such as a cutting board. Pat to form into a round, and move to lightly oiled pizza baking tray or board.
6.Spread with the toppings you’re craving, the ones I’ve listed above, or try something new! Bake 2 for 15-20 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and crust is golden in color. Let cool, cut, and enjoy.

CBD oil fluffy blueberry cinnamon pancakes🥞🍓
Prep Time: 25 minutes
Quantity Served: 4 servings
•1 cup water (for cinnamon syrup)
•1 cup brown sugar (for cinnamon syrup)
•1 teaspoon cinnamon (for cinnamon syrup)
•1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract (for cinnamon syrup)
•¾ cup whole milk
•2 tablespoons white vinegar
•1 cup flour
•1 teaspoon baking powder
•½ teaspoon baking soda
•½ teaspoon salt
•2 tablespoons sugar
•2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
•1 tablespoons butter, melted
•½ cup fresh blueberries (or thawed frozen blueberries)
•1 tablespoon of Blueberry Cinnamon

1.For cinnamon syrup, combine water, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a medium saucepan. Set to high heat. Whisk mixture until sugar is dissolved and mixture comes to a boil.
2.Reduce heat to a simmer and whisk for 5 minutes longer.
3.Remove pot from heat and stir in vanilla.
4.Transfer syrup to a clean glass jar and allow to cool. Refrigerate overnight.
5.The first step in making the pancakes is to “sour” the milk. Combine milk with vinegar in a medium bowl and set aside for five minutes.
6.Whisk egg and butter into "soured" milk.
7.Next, combine dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
8.Pour the flour mixture into the wet ingredients and whisk until lumps are gone.
9.Stir in blueberries.
10.Heat a large skillet over medium heat, and coat with cooking spray.
11.Pour ¼ cupfuls of batter onto the skillet. Cook until bubbles appear evenly on the surface, then flip and cook until browned.
12.Stack ‘em up! If you like, add a pad of butter and top with your favorite pancake syrup. If you like you can heat up the syrup a bit in a saucepan before pouring over pancakes.
Note that the syrup will thicken as it cools and be ready for use by morning!
Lemonade with mint CBD 🍋🍋🍋
•8 large lemons
•4 droppers CBD oil
•2 cups sugar , (or 1 1/4 cup honey)
•8 cups water
•1-2 lemons, , sliced for garnish (optional)
1.Wash lemons thoroughly. Roll lemons firmly on a hard surface until they become soft (helps them release their juice).
2.Slice lemons. Mash the lemon slices and the sugar in a large bowl, until the sugar is dissolved. If you have time you can chill the mashed lemons and sugar mixture in the fridge for about 30 minutes (helps the sugar and the lemon juices to combine for better flavor).
3.Strain the sugar-lemon mixture into a glass measuring cup, and measure 2 cups. If you have less than 2 cups, juice some more lemon juice.
4.Add 4 droppers of CBD oil Maintenance Dose
5.Pour in the lemonade in glasses! Garnish each glass with sliced lemons.
6.Store lemonade in the refrigerator.
Superfood CBD protein bars💪🏽
These delicious protein bars will do everything to satisfy those sugar cravings but still remain on the healthy side. Packed full of protein, they will help you to stay fuller for longer and ensure that you are getting enough good food in your diet. Once made, stick them in a Tupperware box and eat them as and when you want. Serves: 10 You will need:
1 cup chocolate protein powder (or plain protein and some cocoa powder)
½ cup hemp seeds
1 cup mixed nuts and seeds
¼ cup chia seeds
¼ teaspoon cinnamon
25g dark chocolate, chopped
20 dates, chopped
4 tablespoons coconut oil
1 tablespoon nut butter
¼ cup water
1.Line a dish with greaseproof paper.
2.Combine the chocolate protein powder, hemp seeds, mixed nuts and seeds, chia seeds, cinnamon and dark chocolate in a food processor and mix for ten seconds. Try not to blend for too long, as you still want it to be a little crispy and chunky. Set this aside.
3.Add the dates, coconut oil, nut butter, CBD oil and water to the blender and mix until fully combined. If the mixture is too stiff, gradually add more water to liquefy it. The dates may not fully blend out, but as long as this is all mixed well then it will do.
4.Combine the wet mix with the mixture from before in a large bowl, and combine it well.
5.Pour the mix into your dish and spread evenly. It will not rise or change in size, so think about how thick you want the bars to be. 6.Use a flat kitchen utensil to smooth out the top. If you want, add some more nuts and seeds to the top to make it look nice.
7.Refrigerate for 2-3 hours, then chop into bars when it is solidified.
Sticky CBD ginger soy glazed chicken features and simple marinade
•1/4 cup brown sugar •3 Tbsp soy sauce •2 cloves garlic •1 Tbsp fresh ginger, grated •Freshly cracked pepper •1 Tbsp cooking oil
•5 drops of cbd oil .
•8 boneless, skinless chicken thighs (about 1.75 lbs total) •1/2 Tbsp cooking oil
•2 green onions •1 tsp sesame seeds .
1 Mince the garlic and grate the ginger using a fine holed cheese grater or box grater. In a small bowl stir together the brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, some freshly cracked pepper (about 15 cranks of a pepper mill), and cooking oil. Place the chicken thighs in a shallow dish or a gallon size zip lock bag. Pour the marinade over the chicken and turn to coat. Cover the chicken and marinate for at least 30 minutes or up to a day (refrigerated).
2.When ready to cook the chicken, heat a large skillet over medium flame. Once hot, add 1/2 Tbsp cooking oil and swirl to coat the bottom of the skillet. Add half of the chicken pieces and let cook until well browned on each side and cooked through. Remove the cooked chicken to a clean plate, then repeat with the second batch.
3.Once all the chicken has been removed from the skillet, pour the leftover marinade into the skillet and allow it to come up to a boil. Whisk the marinade as it boils to dissolve any browned bits from the skillet. Let it continue to boil until it reduces to a thick glaze*. Turn the heat off, add the cooked chicken back to the skillet, and dredge it in the thick glaze. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
Banana spring rolls with five-spice chocolate drizzle🍌🌰
Egg Roll Ingredients
• 4 medium egg roll wrappers
• 1 large banana, quartered
• 2 Tbsp honey
• 1 tsp ginger powder • Vegetable oil .
• 2 Tbsp water
• 1/2 Tbsp flour
CBD Chocolate Sauce Ingredients
• 2 CBD Cacao squares from Green Cacao Company*, you can use any kind of medicated chocolate for this just make sure you know your dosage **
• 1/2 tsp five spice, powdered • 1 Tbsp honey .
1.Combine paste ingredients and set aside.
2.Slice banana into 4 pieces
3.Mix honey and ginger powder together in a small bowl and set aside.
4.Lay spring roll wrapper on a clean surface. Place a piece of banana on the edge of the wrapper, add a generous brush of the ginger honey on the banana, roll up the banana by tucking the ends of the wrapper and brush the paste along the edges to seal the egg roll.
5.Repeat with all 4 egg rolls.
6.Heat about an inch of vegetable oil over high heat. Cook the banana spring rolls for about 2 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
7.In a small sauce pan over medium-heat, whisk your medicated chocolate along with the five spice and honey.
8.Serve banana spring rolls with a healthy drizzle of the medicated chocolate sauce. Ice cream is optional. Enjoy! .
Slow cooker mozzarella-stuffed CBD meatballs👅🍝
•7 cups tomato pulp
•⅓ cup onion, finely chopped
•2 garlic cloves, minced
•2 tsp dried basil
•1 tsp dried oregano
•½ tsp pepper
•½ tsp salt
•1 lb ground beef (lean)
•1 lb spicy Italian sausage
•1 cup panko breadcrumbs
•⅓ cup onion, finely chopped
•1 tsp garlic powder
•1 tsp onion powder
•1 tsp dried thyme
•1 tsp dried oregano
•½ tsp salt
•½ tsp pepper
•2 large eggs
•4 mozzarella cheese sticks, divided into 4-5 even pieces
1.Place all the sauce ingredients in the slow cooker and stir to combine
2.Set the slow cooker to high and cover until your done preparing the meatballs (30 minutes should suffice).
3.Mix all meatball ingredients excluding the mozzarella in a large bowl. Using your hands, work with the mass as if you were making pizza dough.
4.Take a golf ball-sized piece of the beef mixture and place a piece of mozzarella in the center.
5.Press the beef around the mozzarella piece until fully enclosed. Repeat until you run out of meat.
6.Transfer the meatballs into the slow cooker and immerse in the sauce. Cover and continue cooking on high for up to 2 ½ hours.
Mint chocolate chip smoothie with CBD oil🍵
•1 cup + (add more if desired) vanilla almond milk or soy or skim milk with a dash of vanilla extract (any milk/alt)
•1/2 avocado, peeled
•1 frozen banana
•1 handful fresh baby spinach
•1/8 cup silken tofu
•A few drops peppermint extract
•1/2 teaspoon spirulina
•1 Tablespoon chocolate chips or cacao nibs
•2 servings of CBD oil
•Fresh mint to garnish
1.Add all ingredients except chocolate chips to a blender.
2.Blend until smooth.
3.Add chocolate chips. Blend for a few seconds.
4.Garnish with fresh mint.
Chicken salad with CBD infused lemon dressing🥗🍗
• 2 tbsp olive oil
• 4 chicken thighs, skinless and boneless, sliced
•CBD oil .
For the salad and dressing:
• 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
• Zest and juice 1½ lemons
• 2 tsp clear honey
• 1 ripe avocado, finely sliced
• ½ cucumber, sliced
• Cherry Tomatoes sliced
• 100g radishes, finely sliced
1.Start by rubbing 2 tablespoons of olive oil over your chicken pieces, before seasoning this with salt and black pepper, which has some amazing benefits.
2.Then heat your chicken in a frying pan of a medium-high heat for around 10 minutes, turning regularly to ensure that each piece browns evenly.
3.Once your chicken is cooked, set this aside in a large salad bowl for cooling.
4.When it comes to making your CBD-infused lemon dressing, simply mix a tablespoon is Dijon mustard with lemon zest and around two tablespoons of lemon juice.
5.Then add one-quarter cup of mayonnaise and up to two cloves of garlic (depending on taste), before infusing the mix with a dose of CBD oil.
6.Stir your dressing until this is emulsified, seasoning with salt and pepper as you do so.
7.Then, simply add your choice of chopped vegetables to the mix, with cucumber, radishes and avocado adding taste and texture in equal measure.
8 At this stage, all that is left is to stir in your chicken pieces and serve!
9.On a final note, you can infuse the dish with extra CBD oil by using this as part of the rub for your chicken.
10.More specifically, you can infuse this with vegetable oil, salt and pepper to increase your dose, without compromising the integrity of the dish.
CBD infused peanut butter chocolate bars🍫🤤
•1/2 cup vegetable oil canola or corn oil can be substituted
•1/2 cup CBD infused oil or corn oil can be substituted
•1/3 cup peanut butter
•1 cup brown sugar
•1 tsp vanilla extract
•1 cup all-purpose flour
•1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or crushed blocks
1.First pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees. Oil the baking pan and set aside.
2.In a mixing bowl, add the CBD-infused oil, egg, peanut butter, brown sugar and vanilla extract and blend smooth.
3.Add flour and blend until fully incorporated and then pour it into the oiled baking pan.
4.Pour this dough into the pre-greased pan and spread evenly. Add chocolate chips over the top and cook for 20-25 minutes in pre-heated oven.
5.Check whether it’s done by using the fork. If it comes out clean, take the pan from the oven and place it on a wire rack to cool for 30 minutes then cut into bars and enjoy!
Dip into the weekend with this mouth watering CBD infused guacamole recipe! 🥑
•3 medium ripe Hass avocados, halved and pitted (peel removed)
•1 tablespoons lime juice from 1 medium lime
•1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
•1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
•1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
•1/2 cup onion, finely diced
•2 small tomatoes, seeded and diced
•1 large clove garlic, minced
•1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped
•1/2 jalapeno, minced
Place avocado in bowl and mash using a fork or potato masher. Add the salt, cumin and cayenne, garlic, cilantro and jalapeno, onion, tomatoes, and lime juice, Creating Better CBD oil Tincture and stir to combine. .
Lay plastic wrap directly on the surface of the guacamole and allow to sit at room temperature for 2 hours before serving.
Delicious CBD hot wings recipe
• 2 pounds chicken wings (can use whole, drumettes or flats)
• 1 stick grass fed butter
• 3 cloves minced garlic
• ½ cup Louisiana Hot Sauce (can use Sriracha or Habanero if you like)
• 45 drops Maku hemp CBD oil
• Pink Himalayan salt
• Fresh ground pepper
• Granulated garlic
• Granulated onion (powder will work but is second best)
• Smoked paprika
• Cayenne pepper
• Avocado oil or olive oil in an atomizer (PAM will work but it makes me sad)
1. Give the sauce a kick start by placing the butter in large pan, or even better, a metal mixing bowl.
2. Place bowl on the stove and heat at lowest setting to melt butter.
3. When butter is melted, add garlic and allow to cook for about 1-2 minutes.
4. Remove from the heat and add hot sauce and CBD oil.
5. Mix with a whisk to combine.
6. This sauce will separate some and will need to be remixed. Set aside until wings are done.
Chill AF CBD Hot Wings Cooking Directions
Fire up the grill! No grill? Fire up the air fryer! No air fryer? Fire up the oven!
Here is where some of the variation can take place. But that’s a great thing because you can choose your own adventure. For this rendition, we're going with my favorite, the grill.
1. Light up the grill up and turn it to medium.
2. Season the wings with each of the seasonings. Only restriction is going lightly with the cayenne unless it’s your favorite. It is part of the band and not a lead spice solo!
3. Lightly spray the wings with oil.
4. Flip the wings and repeat.
5. Place the wings on the preheated grill. Cook over medium flame and turn every 3-5 minutes until the color makes your heart sing. I like mine beautifully marked with some seriously delicious roasted color.
6. Heat the sauce and toss the wings in.
7. Allow them to swim about but no long-term soaking.
8. These wings are ready to fly (into your mouth)!
To go with that, some people like blue cheese, some are life long ranch fans, and some even enjoy tzatziki sauce or Indian cucumber raita. All are delicious and cooling to the palate!
How should I dose my CBD infused food?
We would recommend putting no more than 200mg per serving in any of the following recipes. If you are new to CBD 100mg or less should be used.
A journal written by the US National Library of Medicines states that physiological parameters in the body (such as heart rate, blood pressure, and body temperature) are not altered by ingesting CBD in food. In fact they go on to say that chronic use and high doses of up to 1500 mg per day have been repeatedly shown to be well tolerated by humans, meaning it's safe to use even at high doses.
To us, any food tastes better with the addition of CBD oil, but it's down to personal preference.
Some people prefer to buy CBD oil that they put under the tongue, others prefer CBD aqua drops that can added to drinks or sprayed into the mouth.
